CEE 4-Pole (3P+E) Connectors
CEE 4-pole (3P+E) connectors carry three-phase power with three line conductors plus a protective earth, without a neutral conductor. The "3P+E" designation means three power poles (L1, L2, L3) plus one earth pole. This configuration is used when the connected load operates solely on three-phase power and does not require a neutral reference: three-phase motors, balanced three-phase heating elements, and dedicated three-phase equipment. Without the neutral conductor, the 4-pole format offers a more compact connector compared to the 5-pole variant while still providing full three-phase capability.
